The Dinners With Love Program is able to realize our mission every week because of the group of dedicated volunteers and restauratuers who graciously donate their time and resources to serve hospice patients and families in their communities.
Our partner restaurants decide how many meals they are able to give (e.g., two meals every week or every other week). Hospice volunteers contact restaurants once a week, usually on Thursday mornings, to place an order for two meals. Later in the afternoon, between 3:00 and 5:30 p.m., a trained hospice volunteer driver picks up the meals and delivers them to patients in their homes.
